The Seedling Expert’s main role will be to ensure quality of seedling produced at nurseries. His/her role will be to verify dissemination method of the seedling, monitors growth, ensure delivery of quantity is on track, and provide technical expertise to nurseries’ owners where needed. The seedling expert will be working under the Project Management Unit (PMU) and will report to the Project Manager. He/she will also be responsible to advice Field Coordinators on planting techniques, tree growth monitoring processes etc. As such he will also have a supporting role to the Field Coordinators where needed. In other words, the Seedling Expert will be responsible for distribution quality control of seedlings from production to sites.
The tree planting season will take place each ramp-up year during September and February which coincide with the main rainy season in the Gayo Highlands. Seedlings will be delivered to the targeted villages by the nurseries. The number of seedlings which can fit 1 truck is 5,000 for of 25cm/30cm spectrum (avocado/durian/chinaberry/candlenut) and 7,000 for a 15cm spectrum (river tamarind/coffee).
Beneficiaries will be responsible to pick-up seedlings at collecting points and dispatchment will be supervised by Field Coordinators with the support of the Village Facilitators appointed in each village. A week before seedling dispatchment, site preparation will be performed by beneficiaries with supervision of Village Facilitators and Field Coordinators and where needed advice from the Seedling Expert.
Major mortality of the planted tree will be critical point on the project carbon sequestration. therefore, mortality rate of planted shading trees will be assessed and where needed a remediation plan will be developed with the support of the Seedling Expert and Senior Agronomist Specialist.

The Senior Agronomist’s main role will be to assess farming practice gaps and will feed in with recommendations for the development of the training modules. Report to the Project Manager, he/she will have a coordination role to ensure that farming needs and gaps are rightfully incorporated in the training to be delivered to farmers. He/she will also be the Master Trainer who will be responsible for training and coaching the Field Coordinators (1st Level Training) on a yearly basis. Besides Field Coordinators, local government extensionists will also be trained to ensure that project knowledge could also be disseminated beyond the Project scope.
In addition to that, the Senior Agronomist Specialist will also be responsible to do an in-deep assessment of what is currently practiced in the Project area in terms of soil fertility methods and aggregate findings into most promising and scalable applications including support the monitoring of planted trees growth including mortality rate and provide technical support to ensure the planting, training, and monitoring activity achieve target. This will be done in project Year 1 and reassessed throughout ramp-up.

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of the project, which includes efficient management of project objectives and outputs, field team management, budget management expenditures; supervision of field operations; procurement; monitoring and evaluation; stakeholders engagement and ensuring quality control and timeliness all deliverables as required. S/he will ensure full compliance with the donor contract and regulations and oversee the donor's project reporting process. S/he will oversee performance management of all LIF project staff working in his/her project and will represent LIF in the public forum.

Ruang lingkup pekerjaan Korlap termasuk target dan seleksi penerima manfaat, pelatihan pembibitan dan penanaman, monitoring, evaluasi dan pelaporan, dan melakukan tugas-tugas lain terkait sesuai arahan supervisi.

Monev dan Data Asisten bekerja dalam tim YLI di bawah supervisi Monev Officer yang bertanggungjawab mengelola database, melakukan proses input data ke dalam aplikasi, termasuk mempersiapkan, menginput, memverifikasi dan memastikan keakuratan data terkait penerima manfaat ke dalam geodatabase. Monev dan Data Asisten juga bertanggungjawab untuk melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi terhadap implementasi proyek menggunakan database yang telah tersedia.
